Easy to install.
I only replaced the sprocket assembly not the motor gear. It only took 20 to 30 minutes and that included cleaning out the housing. The instructions sent with the part explained each step very well. Garage door works like it has for 20 plus years.

No it was time consuming
It may of been easy enough to install had all the parts been sent. Parts that were missing were the bushings, o rings & most important the instructions. What should of taken an hour at most took a day and a half. Whew!! Too long...
