Whirlpool EveryDrop water filter (part number EDR5RXD1) has NSF certifications 42, 53 and 401; it reduces lead and other metals; chlorine taste and odor; volatile organic compounds (VOCs); and some pesticides and pharmaceuticals.
EveryDrop water filter EDR5RXD1 fits select Kenmore, Kenmore Elite, Whirlpool, Crosley, Estate, Ikea, Inglis, Kirkland, KitchenAid, Roper and Thermador side-by-side and bottom-freezer refrigerators.
Replace every 6 months, or more often if water flow slows noticeably.

Not Compatible
Both the replacement filters (Whirlpool #5 or the Kenmore 9085) do not engage/twist in the housing. The original model 9902 or the later 9010 which I used to get always worked?

Compatible Filter
The Whirlpool filter has been an excellent replacement for our refrigerator that previously used a different brand. Our frig is now humming along with the temperature just right and ice cube making feature better than ever. Installation was a breeze, taking no time at all.
