Water fill problem
The control detected that water level did not change for 7 minutes. Make sure the water supply faucets behind the appliance are fully open. Check the water fill lines for kinks or freezing (in the winter). Check the water inlet fill valves. If the valves don't open to fill the tub when activated, replace the water inlet valve assembly.
Water left in tub
Check the drain hose for kinks and clogs. Clean debris from the coin trap. Replace the drain pump if it doesn't run when activated. Unplug the washer to clear the error code.
Water overflow
The water level sensor detects an overflow condition. Unplug the washer and, if the washer is overfilled, check the water inlet valve assembly for proper shut-off of water flow. If the water inlet valve assembly doesn't shut off water flow with the washer unplugged, replace the water inlet valve assembly. If the washer is empty when this error code appears, replace the water-level pressure switch.
Drain cycle error
The drain pump never cycled on to drain water. Check the wire harness connections between the main control board and the drain pump. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the drain pump. If the problem continues, replace the main control board.
Slow drain
The main control board didn't detect water level change for 6 minutes or longer. Check the drain hose for kinks and clogs. Clean debris from the coin trap. If the drain pump doesn't run when activated, check the wire harness connections between the drain pump and the main control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the drain pump. If the error continues, replace the main control board.
Door lock failure
Unplug the appliance and check the wire harness connections between the main control board and door lock assembly. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the door lock assembly.
Water level sensor failure
Unplug the appliance and check the wire harness connections between the water level sensor and the main control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the water level sensor.
Water heater sensor failure
Unplug the appliance and check the wire harness connections between the main control board and the water heater sensor. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire harness connections are okay, replace the water heater sensor.
Water heating element failure
Unplug the appliance and check the wire harness connections between the water heating element and the main control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. Measure the resistance of the water heating element using a multimeter. You should measure about 14 ohms of resistance through the heating element. Replace the water heating element if you measure infinite resistance, indicating the heating element is broken.
Inlet air temperature sensor failure
Unplug the appliance and check the wire harness connections between the inlet air temperature sensor and the main control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. Check the resistance of the inlet air temperature sensor using a multimeter. You should measure around 5,000 ohms at room temperature. If resistance is off by more than 1000 ohms, replace the inlet air temperature sensor.
Dryer heating element failure
Unplug the appliance and check the wiring harness connection between the dryer heating element and the main control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. Check the resistance of the dryer heating element. You should measure 13 ohms of resistance through the heating element. If the heating element and wiring is okay, replace the main control board. Replace the dryer heating element if you measure infinite resistance, indicating the heating element is broken.
Main control board EEPROM error
The Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) on the main control board is corrupted. Unplug the appliance for 5 minutes, restore power and see if the code clears. If not, replace the main control board.
Main control board error
Unplug the appliance and replace the main control board.
High motor current
Unplug the appliance for 5 minutes to reset the main control board. If the code returns after restoring power, check to see if the spin basket rotates freely. If the spin basket rotates freely, unplug the appliance and replace the main control board. If you detect resistance when rotating the spin basket, unplug the appliance and remove the drive belt from the motor pulley. Spin the drive motor pulley. Replace the drive motor if the motor pulley doesn't spin freely. If the drive motor pulley spins freely, check again for resistance when rotating the spin basket with the drive belt removed. If the spin basket won't rotate freely, check for an item stuck between the spin basket and the outer tub. Remove any item found. If you find no item caught between the spin basket and the outer tub, then the spin bearing seized up. You'll need to replace the appliance because the spin bearing isn't available as a replacement part.
Motor inverter control board drawing too much current
Overloading the appliance can cause this error. Reduce the load if overloaded. If the load is normal size, unplug the appliance and check the wire harness connections between the motor inverter control board and drive motor. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the motor inverter control board. If the problem continues, replace the drive motor.
Motor inverter board failure
Unplug the appliance and check the wire harness connections between the motor inverter control board and drive motor. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the motor inverter control board.
Main control board overload
Check to see if the spin basket rotates freely.
Stuck start/pause button
Unplug the appliance and replace the start/pause button. If the problem continues, replace the main control board.
Detergent dispenser failure
Unplug the appliance and check the wire harness connections between the dispenser housing and the main control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the detergent dispenser housing.
Detergent dispenser empty
Add detergent to the dispenser.
Fabric softener dispenser empty
Add fabric softener to the dispenser.
