I ordered compressor for the refrigerator at my moms house. She had a tech do the replacement. The only problem it makes a high pitched noise when it runs. Hopefully it will Continue working for another 5 to 10 yrs

LG Compressor

The compressor arrived smashed and broken. There was thick tape attached on the top like they were patching a hole. Parts were strewn all over the box. I am returning it.

The sad state of energy efficient products

I did not install this unit, but waited 3 weeks for service from Sears Service. It needed an additional part, which the Sears parts department service employee wisely told me, was also necessary. The very competent Service Man installed both units in a very complex installation process needing specialty equipment for installation. The parts necessary were shipped to me and arrived four days after I called. The parts department personnel was extraordinary and most helpful in explaining what had happened to my 7 year old refrigerator. It appears that these 'energy efficient' appliances lack any of the longevity of the older refrigerators. I will be going through this again, it appears.

Do not buy Kenmore or LG

Any technician (including Sears) will tell you LG compressors are complete garbage. Sears customer service is the worst. They sell you the fridge just to make money on the parts after by charging crazy labor fees. My fridge lasted 2.5 years before the compressor gave out.

Apparently, LG Compressors notorious w/repairmen

I hired an experienced, professional Sears appliance repairman and his son to replace, and they still don't have it working! It was just a replacement for basically the same compressor that died on my Kenmore "Elite" fridge at about 9 years...another $400 out of my pocket. Now this one won't program! Why are these not computer-coded better for repairmen to install??? Need help!

The compressor got to me damage one of the suctions line was defected and bend so he the technician said I would have to contact sears for a new one or have to try to see if i can get a welder to see if they can fix the issue for me. I am contacting you with regards to the compressor. please see pictures attached, after waiting so long without a refrigerator, i have to endure this delay again, it has been my second time changing this compressor, AND THIS IS REALLY STRESSFUL, please let me know what you are willing for me to do, are you coming to give me a part refund let me get the wielder to fix this. I await your response.
