Reviews
Not good
When I opened the box, the part had no protective padding and was free to slam around during transit. The plastic bag it was in was covered in what appears to be grease and it had been opened. I wonder if it was meant to be thrown in the trash. Obviously, this makes me wonder if the part will work once installed.

Fairly simple task, but takes several hours
I replaced the elements last fall, but had to settle for off the shelf from the plumbing supply place. Not even close, but they worked. I now feel much more confident with the proper elements in there. Don't waste your money on the cheap removal tool. 1 1/2" socket and breaker bar worked great after wasting time on the cheap tool. To remove the sediment from the bottom of the tank, I rigged a few feet of garden hose to my shop vac.(wet mode) and took out quite a bit of sediment. Cleaning the treads is important, but cleaning that flat surface on the outer edge is critical to prevent a leak. It's also very important to make sure the tank is filled all the way before turning the power back on. I expected my parts to be delivered on a thursday , so I requested a personal day off that next friday. Well, man makes plans, and God laughs. Parts didn't arrive until saturday, so I got er done on sunday.. Since my fingers making contact with live 220 volts might ruin my day, I made good use of one of those voltage proximity sensors. It looks kind of like a fat pen. You turn it on and wave the tip near a wire. If the wire is live, the green light turns red and it beeps. ....Just take your time so you only have to do it once, and that beer will taste real good, but only after the whole thing is done.
