Easy to install

Like the title said. Easy to install. I only criticism was the packaging. Three nylon bands was all that sealed the box, the contents shifted and broke box up to where screws and nuts were lost. No tape at all on box. Luckily for me I did not take my old deck to the dump. I just cannabilized the old deck for screws and nuts and got her up and running.

Great value, but packaging stinks

Install: Screw on the wheels, load the belt, attach a spring, screw on the plastic belt housing and done. Easy IF you have all the parts!! My order arrived and did not contain all the parts listed in the instructions. The diagram in the instructions is tiny and very hard to read, even with a magnifying glass.

Arrived damaged

I had to order this 3 times each time it arrived damaged. The first time never made it to my house UPS marked it damaged and sent it back. The second time the box was ripped open and missing parts and dented so much that the blade wouldn't clear the side of the deck. The third time the deck was ok but box was ripped apart and parts missing. Sears is replacing the missing parts at no cost. But this was a huge pain and I have to repack the damaged one and arrange for a UPS pick up. I don't know if the problem is UPS or if it is leaving the warehouse this way.

assembly took about an hour then thirty minutes to install , all the parts were in bags the large box was torn open in two places but that was it. a good price for such a big part of the mower , shipping was costly, if notified I could have picked it up and saved a bundle.

Arrived with packing damaged. Small parts were loose and some were lost in transit. Called customer service, Courteous and helpful so far. Sent info to another department that is supposed to help. Did it this afternoon, so follow up hasn't occurred yet. Item had no indication of damage. Not yet installed

Where is my replacement mower deck?

The first unit arrived at my home and the shipping box was destroyed. 95% of the hardware was missing. Sears shipped a second unit that was missed shipped to a different state. The third unit they shipped to a local Sears Home Town store. About 30% of the hardware was missing from the box. I reused the hardware on my old deck to get the unit running. The people shipping the units do not seem to care based on the condition of the boxes and missing parts.
