Troubleshooting your Toro riding mower when it's completely dead
If you turn the key on your Toro riding mower and you don't even hear the click of the solenoid, check the battery. Replace the battery if it's dead. If the battery is okay, follow the troubleshooting steps in this video to find and fix the problem.
Common Toro mower replacement parts
- Air filter. Replace the air filter regularly to keep the engine running smoothly.
- Blade. Dull blades down't cut the grass evenly. Replace any dull or worn blades in your Toro mower.
- Starter solenoid. If the starter solenoid on your Toro riding mower doesn't click when its relay gets current, you'll need to replace the solenoid.
- Mandrel. The mandrel on a riding mower or large walk-behind mower supports the blade shaft and pulley. Replace any worn mandrels on your Toro lawn equipment.
