Safety instructions for your ICP wall heater

  • Carefully follow all installation instructions to properly and safely install the wall heater in a suitable location.
  • Only mount the heater in a vertical position. Don't attempt to mount the heater horizontally.
  • Mount the heater at least 6-inches above the floor and no closer than 12-inches from the adjacent wall.
  • Don't mount the heater over a bathtub or shower stall enclosure.
  • Don't block the wall heater by mounting it under a towel rack or behind a door.
  • Read and follow all operating and safety instructions in the owner's manual.

How to replace the temperature control thermostat on a ICP wall heater

  • Unplug the heater power cord or shut off the house circuit breaker for the heater to disconnect electrical power. Wear work gloves to protect your hands during the repair.
  • Remove the temperature control knob from the temperature control thermostat stem.
  • Remove the front grille cover from the heater.
  • Remove the temperature control thermostat mounting screws and pull the thermostat out slightly.
  • Disconnect the wires from the temperature control thermostat and pull the thermostat out.
  • Connect the wires to the new thermostat and mount the new thermostat in the heater.
  • Reassemble the wall heater and restore electrical power by plugging in the power cord or resetting the house circuit breaker.
