Bicycle maintenance tips to follow when using your Kenmore cycling products

  • Check your bicycle thoroughly before riding it. Adjust brake cables and gear cables if necessary. Tighten any loose fasteners and replace any broken parts before riding your bicycle.
  • Check tire inflation before each ride. Keep tires inflated to the recommended pressure. Repair or replace any leaking tires.
  • Keep the drive chain clean and lubricated.
  • Make sure lights are working properly before riding at night. Replace batteries or repair the lights if they're not working.

How to properly wear a bicycle helmet when using your Kenmore cycling products

  • Make sure that you're using a bicycle helmet with the proper fit for your head.
  • Place the bicycle helmet squarely on your head. The front of the helmet should be one or two finger-widths above your brow to protect your forehead.
  • Buckle the chin strap with side straps just below and forward of the ears. There shouldn't be any slack in the chin strap. Adjust the chin strap if it's too loose.
  • Check the helmet position by gently rocking the helmet on your head front to back and side to side. The skin on your forehead should move with the helmet if you have a proper fit. Adjust the chin strap if the helmet is too loose.
