Common parts of a Salton blender that may need replacing
- Mixing Jar. The mixing jar holds items that you're blending. Replace the jar if it's cracked or broken.
- Jar lid. The mixing jar lid keeps liquids and food items from splashing out of the top of the jar when blending. Replace the lid if it's damaged or leaking.
- Blade assembly. The blade assembly chops and blends items in the jar. Replace the blade assembly if the blades get dull or damaged.
- Drive motor. The drive motor spins the cutting blades. Replace the drive motor if it doesn't run when activated.
What to do when your Salton blender won't start
When your blender doesn’t run, the problem could be a lack of electrical power, broken wires, a failed motor or control problems.
First, check the electrical outlet’s GCFI breaker and reset it if it’s tripped. If the GCFI is fine, check the house circuit breaker for the dead outlet and reset the breaker if it's tripped. Find an electrical outlet that works and see if the blender runs.
If the blender doesn't run when plugged into a working outlet, unplug the blender and open the motor housing. Check for loose power cord wiring connections. Reconnect any loose wires and repair any broken wires.
If all wiring connections are okay, then you may need to replace the motor or the control assembly to get the blender going again.
