Most common Weslo treadmill parts that need replacing
- Console. The treadmill console controls all the functions of the treadmill. The console features a digital display for showing workout information and settings to the user.
- Drive motor. The treadmill drive motor rotates the drive belt, which spins the front belt roller to move the walking belt.
- Motor controller. The treadmill motor controller regulates the speed of the drive motor to move the walking belt at the desired pace.
- Reed switch. The treadmill reed switch detects the walking belt speed and sends speed signals to the console and controller.
- Walking belt. The treadmill walking belt rotates around the front and rear rollers and provides a moving surface to walk on.
How to fix your Weslo treadmill when the belt slips
A damaged or loose walking belt will slip on the front roller of your Weslo treadmill. A bad bearing on a roller can cause the roller to bind and the walking belt to slip.
Check both rollers to make sure that they spin freely. If a roller binds because its bearing is bad, replace the roller.
Check the walking belt for tears and replace the belt if torn or damaged.
Check walking belt tension by lifting the middle edge of each side of the belt. You should be able to lift the belt’s edge up 2 to 3 inches above the walking board. Tighten belt tension if you can lift the edges of the walking belt more than 3 inches.
