Common replacement parts for Remington power hammers

  • Hammer head. The hammer head impacts the nails automatically when the tool is turned on and the impact mechanism is pressed onto the nail.
  • Magnetic sleeve. The magnetic sleeve holds the head of the inserted nail against the recessed shaft at the start of nail driving. The sleeve retracts at the end of nail driving to allow the hammerhead to drive the nail head flush to the workpiece.
  • Drive motor. The drive motor rotates to drive the hammer head into the nail.
  • Work light. The work light illuminates the work piece when the trigger switch is depressed. This component provides extra light for increased visibility.

Work area safety advice to follow when using your Remington power hammer

  • Keep the work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark work areas can invite accidents.
  • Don't operate your power hammer in an explosive atmosphere such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gasses or dust. The power hammer motor produces sparks that can ignite dust or fumes.
  • Keep children and bystanders away from the work area while operating your power hammer. Distractions can cause you to lose control of the tool.
