Common replacement parts for Mitsubishi speakers

  • Woofer. The woofer cover low frequency sound reproduction and can blow out in certain situations such as when too much power is applied to the speaker.
  • Diaphragm. The diaphragm creates the sound wave when voltage is applied across its leads.
  • Enclosure. The enclosure houses the drivers and speaker components.
  • Power supply. Some speaker systems use a power supply that drives the speakers.

Cleaning the woofers in your Mitsubishi speakers

  • Woofer speaker cones are delicate and easy to punch a hole through so use extreme care when cleaning woofers.
  • Remove the speaker grill. Carefully pull off the speaker grill. Loosen the mounting prongs on the top corners of the speaker by pulling the top edges of the grill out. Repeat the process to loosen the bottom mounting prongs. Carefully remove the speaker grill from the speaker cabinet.
  • Used canned air and a camera lens brush to carefully remove dust and debris from the woofer.
  • Reinstall the speaker grill.
  • Repeat the process to clean the woofer on the other speaker.
