Most common Haier portable dishwasher parts that need replacing
- Door latch. The door latch keeps the dishwasher door closed during the cycle and has a switch that detects whether the door is open. The dishwasher won't run if the door switch detects that the door is open. Replace the door latch if the door switch detects that the dishwasher door is open when the door is shut.
- Overfill float switch. The overfill float switch turns off the water inlet fill valve if the switch and float detect that the dishwasher is overfilling. Replace the overfill float switch if turns off the fill valve when the dishwasher is empty and the float isn't stuck in the up position.
- Spray arm. The spray arm distributes water through the tub during the dishwashing cycle. Replace the spray arm if it's broken or damaged.
- Water fill valve. The water fill valve opens to fill the dishwasher tub with water. Replace the water fill valve if it leaks or if it doesn't open.
How to fix your Haier dishwasher when it won't fill
If your Haier dishwasher doesn't fill with water when you press the Start button, first make sure that the water supply cut-off valve is open. If it is, try this easy fix: check whether an object is preventing the mushroom-shaped overfill float on the floor of the tub from moving up and down freely. If the float is stuck in its highest position, the fill valve won't let water into the tub.
If the float is moving freely, the overfill float switch or water inlet valve may be broken. A failed electronic control board or timer could also prevent your Haier dishwasher from filling. Watch the dishwasher not filling video for more troubleshooting tips to resolve this problem.
