How to replace the evaporator thermistor in your Haier dehumidifier

• Unplug the dehumidifier power cord from the wall outlet to disconnect electrical power.
• Pull the water collection bucket out of the front of the dehumidifier case. Pull the air filter out of the front grille. Remove the 2 screws at the bottom of the front grille that secure it to the frame. Lift the front grille carefully up and off of the front of the frame and set the front grille down in front of the dehumidifier.
• Disconnect the thermistor wire harness from the electronic control board. Pull the evaporator thermistor out of the copper sleeve on the side of the evaporator coil.
• Install the new thermistor on the evaporator and connect its wire harness to the electronic control board.
• Reassemble the dehumidifier and plug in the power cord to restore electrical power.

Troubleshooting your Haier dehumidifier when it won't turn on

• Test that the electrical outlet works by plugging a lamp or small appliance into it. If there's no electricity to the outlet, reset the house circuit breaker.
• If the electrical outlet works, check the power cord for damage. Repair any damaged or broken wires in the power cord or replace the power cord.
• If the power cord is good, check the wiring connections on the electronic control board and user interface control board (with the dehumidifier unplugged). If wiring connections are okay, then you may need to replace the user interface board and/or the electronic control board.
