How to properly wear a bicycle helmet when using your Schwinn cycling products

  • Make sure that you're using a bicycle helmet with the proper fit for your head.
  • Place the bicycle helmet squarely on your head. The front of the helmet should be one or two finger-widths above your brow to protect your forehead.
  • Buckle the chin strap with side straps just below and forward of the ears. There shouldn't be any slack in the chin strap. Adjust the chin strap if it's too loose.
  • Check the helmet position by gently rocking the helmet on your head front to back and side to side. The skin on your forehead should move with the helmet if you have a proper fit. Adjust the chin strap if the helmet is too loose.

Bicycle safety tips to follow when using Schwinn cycling products

  • Wear brightly colored apparel and reflective material on your clothing when cycling.
  • Always follow traffic laws and use the correct hand signals when cycling.
  • Wear a proper cycling safety helmet to protect against serious injury when riding your bicycle.
  • Choose travel routes with bicycle lanes or wide shoulders to avoid traffic when possible.
