Safely installing a hex bolt when assembling Razor toys and games

  • Always wear work gloves to protect your hands when assembling and disassembling toys and games.
  • Use proper tools when installing hex bolts or installing hex nuts on the ends of hex bolts. To avoid rounding off the corners of hex bolt heads or hex nuts, use the proper sizes of sockets or wrenches on the fasteners. Don't use an adjustable wrench on hex bolts and hex nuts because the adjustable wrench can easily slip across corners of the hex bolt heads or hex nuts and round off the corners.
  • Inspect threads of the fasteners for damage before installing the hex bolt or attaching the hex nut to the bolt. Replace any damaged hex nut or hex bolt.
  • When installing a hex nut on a hex bolt, use a proper size wrench to hold the hex bolt stationary while tightening the hex nut.
  • Follow assembly instruction guidelines for properly applying torque to fasteners.
