A definite improvement
The original part did not last very long. This new design looks to be much more durable. I have only used it for a short time, but it works great. Overall, the sander is easy to use and is lightweight.

My orbital finish sander's hook and loop base dry-rotted. I was able to look up the part, order and replace it very easily! Love the sears parts direct website

orbital sander disc replacement
Delivery of the part was several days later then advertised. Installation was pretty straight forward. Removing the old disc was a bit tricky. A powered driver was pretty essential. Trying to loosen or tighten the screws without one was all but impossible. Using a powered driver removal and installation were straight forward and took only a few minutes.
