washer would stop working and groan, eventually tripped the surge protector. Motor was not the problem. Professional repair man determined it was the timer, however upon installation it only worked momentarily. Put the old one back in, same results. Repairman returned and concluded it was thee capacitor that was the problem. Installed one and Voila it works, for now.
