Works for Kenmore 79571602010
June 12, 2021|Profenx, CA

My stopper was broken on my Kenmore top French door fridge. The door had issues and popped out when closing the other door. This part helps to close the door after it meets a certain point. Also keeps the door from pooping out sometimes. It still pops out when closing the other door forcefully. Ordered the door cam latch to see if it helps. This part is larger and beefier but fits. Just unscrew from the bottom and screw back in.

Be sure the cam is the problem
January 28, 2018|Handywally, Jackson MI

The cam turned out to be the wrong part. The door gasket holder that the cam fits into at the top had broke. I thought the cam had broke as it was flopping downward. The screw holding the cam goes through the top portion of the hings like bracket, throught the cam and only a little into the bottom portion as the bottom portion also hold the top of the long rod in the door gasket assembly. So be sure it is the cam not the door gasket holder. The door gasket does not look too much harder than the cam.
