Don't be Intimidated to DIY Install
I watched a YouTube video from repairclinic.com that made the disassembly of the dryer and installation of the heating element a success. The only issue I had was that the high limit switch that comes with it was not what I needed for my model of dryer. Sears Partsdirect found what I needed and swapped it out for me.

Package damaged
The box was really beaten up - the assembly wrapped well in bubble wrap - but a part was damaged - had a AC tech install the part and was able to repair the bent parts - all that counts is that it works!!! If you have a front load dryer - don't buy the 36in brush - doesn't fit in the lint filter

Excellent OEM replacement part for Kenmore Dryer!
Simple install for me, 30mins. But that only because I had to take the unit apart once before. Use YouTube and the graphic chart of the parts layout for your dryer to figure out how to get to it. You need this entire unit! Don't do what I did initially and only get the high temp regulator. You need all three parts that are included in this unit. Will involve several screws and some strength and light to see in the hard to reach places in order to switch things! Make sure you have a short nubbed screwdriver handy to get into those tight spaces under the drum. Access for me was in the front and the location was under the drum, behind the exhaust vent system. Good luck!

Easy to install, so happy!
My husband watched the video on installing the heating element. It was easy, I just happy to be able to dry our clothes. Kids coming home from college with a ton of clothes.

Part was damaged
The part had a broken piece that we had to take off the old part to replace and there were other pieces that were bent but after using the piece from our old part and repairing the damage it worked. Did not want to sent it back and wait another two weeks to get the part or I would have sent it back.

Exact fit
It was not easy to install. It is a two person job, my husband and I did the repair and it took about two hours. It is a ten year old LG and I knew where the part was inside the dryer, but it took a bit of effort to determine that the front of the dryer needed to be removed to do the repair. You have to remove the top, then the front. There are two screws holding the heating element in place and they were easy to remove, but there is a tab and slot in the back holding it in place to the back of the dryer. Fortunately, there is a small access panel right next to it which made it a little easier to get a hold of. We had to adjust the drum up and out of the way and lift the old heating element up and out to get the tab to release, you should also remove the bracket in the front in order for the new one to slide into place easier. To install the new one, three wires; a red one, a yellow one and a blue one; in the dryer have to be attached so pay attention when you remove the old one so you know where to attach them to the new one. You will need to have one hand in the access panel at the back and one wiggling the heating element into place from the front while your assistant lifts up the drum in order to get the tab to go into the slot on it. Keep hold of it at the front once it's in place and have your assistant hold it in place at the access panel while you use one hand to put the bracket back in place and attach the new heating element, if you let it fall out of place, your assistant will moan and complain like there's no tomorrow about how difficult this whole procedure is and ask you over and over again why you didn't just call someone to fix it instead. So try to work with someone who will tolerate at least some of the difficulty. All in all, I only spent $100 for the part and to me that was a huge bargain compared to a couple hundred for a service or up to a grand to purchase a new dryer. I have repaired the washer in the past and determined that this repair would be about as simple. The dryer now works again which is the whole point of doing it yourself. Good luck, if you're still looking for the lowest price, just get it from Sears, it was them.
