I had my old cable break as I was finishing cleaning up from a storm (causing the machine to be stuck in full speed forward). It was easy to attach the new cable. The only tools i needed was a socket set and nut-driver. Once I got the tension just right, it shifted gears properly and worked again.

The top of the cable is attached to the gear shift handle with a carter pin. I found it easier to access this spot by removing the bracket that the handle is attached too.

Not much of a Mr. Fix it; but this worked out very well. At first look the cable looked like it was going to be too shoot but after putting it on it worked well. I would like to see the same part remanufactured to a much better product.
