Socket, pliers and 15 minutes and task was complete. If not mechanically inclined take a picture of the spring and bracket assembly for ease in putting it back together.

Shield not what needed

I wanted a "MULCHING COVER," not a "LAWN TRACTOR DEFLECTOR SHIELD." The customer service representative indicated that he knew what I needed and that the deflector shield was what I needed. I order the shield, but inquired about the return policy. The shield has been returned. I had purchased a mulching kit with the mower, but have been unable to replace the mulching shield. Are they available?
