Completely The Wrong Part and Wrong Diagnosis
I ordered a Refrigerator Dispenser Control Board, by name and by picture from the web site, with priority shipping. What a I received was a pair of LED lights attached to a PC board that was a fraction of the size and was called, in the paperwork that shipped with them, a "Case Assembly." When I called to resolve the problem, they would not ship the right part overnight - I had to wait almost another weeks' worth of days. Then, when I did receive the part and had it installed, it did not fix the problem. The rating for installation of the correct part is shown to be very difficult because the way the clips that hold the face plate/control panel on the door in place are designed, it is almost impossible to remove the face plate without breaking the clips. I have replaced the refrigerator door (yes, the whole door, because a wire inside the sealed part of the door shorted out and failed.), the refrigerator dispenser control board and even tried replacing the $200 main control board to get the right voltage to the water valves located in the bottom front of the door, but Kenmore doesn't even know how to fix the problem - I've been waiting for 2 weeks now, to learn how to fix the problem.
