Wrong belt & size
I ordered belt based on model number of mower. The belt I received is so short will it not fit from main (crankshaft) pulley to transmission pulley. It could NEVER fit to idler pulleys. I had a local Ace Hardware store cross reference the belt, belt number, mower model number and they had no trouble at all coming up with a belt that fit. How can Sears "miss" their own part matching so badly?

Trying together a belt for a craftsman Tractor...this is the second time they sent the wrong part....the belt sent to Meis 1' short...and will not go on the tractor...SEARSPARTSDIRECT is a terrible company and if you can avoid doing business with them its highly recommended....

Drive belt installation on a large Husqvarna rider
The job is a nightmare. There isn't enough clearance between the transmission fan center nut and the bottom of the fuel tank to push the belt through. It has to be forced with a thin piece of wood and a hammer or lower the transmission. The steering wheel gear has to be disconnected at the base and the column raised and then realigned with the front wheels when putting back down. It's a two person job. The electric PTO clutch has to be removed to get the belt around the top pulley. The clutch is heavy and not easy to realign with the motor shaft and keyway. In my case, the belt guard was bent when the original belt ripped. It had to be removed and straightened in a vice. Also, the tractor had to be lifted off the ground in the front with a hoist. The rest of the job was easy. Figure no less than an hour for an experienced mechanic.
