Additional Information
Transaxle fan and pulley kit 584285002 mounts to the top of the transaxle and helps prevent overheating. It replaces part number 584287201.
Worn or broken fan blades or a damaged pulley can lead to overheating and loss of performance. Replacing the fan and pulley helps maintain transaxle cooling and protects against early wear.
Before starting the repair, park the tractor on a level surface, remove the key, and disconnect the spark plug wire. Wear work gloves to protect your hands during the replacement. Refer to your parts diagram to confirm included components and placement.

complete kit for what I needed

Installation was simple and easy. The hard part was getting the old nut off the pulley. Used impact wrench plus pipe wrench (to turn impact wrench while pounding) plus a twisted strap on pulley to keep it from rotating. Not a job for newbies. That is what took so long.

Take photos before and during tear down. Lookout for sharp edges on some parts. You will need an impact for ease of nut removal. Replace belt at the same time.
