difficult to locate in parts list, but once located easy to inspect by photo and order. Fast delivery even with hassles of covid delaying it.

somewhat difficult to install. Spring looks as bad as my broken spring but it is not broken. Installed u-hook end first, then small hook end. put screwdriver in spring coil and then needle nosed pliers to push spring into hole.

This spring locks the snow plow blade angle (45 degrees left, flat straight, and 45 degrees right). It needs to be replaced every couple of years depending on how much you use it. It is easy to replace; hooking it to the arm that supports the blade first and then taking a vice grip plyers to grab ahold of the hooked end to help stretch the spring and flex the hook slightly to insert the end if the hook through the hole in the locking arm.

Pretty clear cut installation. It is a tight spring, so you have to be careful.

Trying to stretch spring with needle nose pliers didn't work. I drove a small screwdriver between the coils and pried against the frame of the plow. Only needed to stretch it 3/8" and job done.
