Drain hose extension kit WH49X301 attaches to the end of the washer drain hose to make the drain hose longer.

Shut off the water supply and unplug the washer before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

Cut the center rubber, or in my case hard plastic (in which you will need a hacksaw) fit on 1 rubber insert, connect the two hoses, put on and tighten 1 clamp. Place your extension drain hose in the drain pipe. Your done in 10 minutes with no leaks.

I'm a fairly handy 69-year-old woman and it took me about 30 minutes to install. That included watching a how-to YouTube video. My hands aren't particularly strong but I was still able to cut the existing hose as well as tighten the clamps sufficiently so there's no leaking. I found this hose from a few other sellers but this was by far the best price.
