I replaced the interface and sensor. Both were easy to do yourself. The only issue was the time for the interface to show up due to being back ordered. The freezer works great again without the cost estimate fro a repair man. Did it myself for just cost of parts.

Very similar to other reviews here. Pretty easy to install and so far appears to be doing the job after a few days. Was having the similar issue that freezer was around 4 years old and wasn't defrosting appropriately. Part was listed as backordered but fortunately received it exactly on the estimated ship date, which was just 3 weeks after I placed the order.

So far so good. freezer stopped defrosting After three years. Appliances are built as disposable items now. Part cost about half of other places. It's still working after couple weeks. Crossing my fingers.

simple to remove and replace the old control

This is easy to remove, just two screws and the control board is held in with clips. Remove the old board, push the new board in place until it "clicks" in place. Connect the cables and your done.

Very easy to install this part with a philips screwdriver and a mini-sized flat screwdriver. Unplug freezer, remove two screws, unplug bad controller wiring, plugin new controller, re-mount new controller and plug in freezer.
