A small part that is very important

My mower truck a rock and broke the tabs off this device. The tabs transmitted the torque to the blade. With the tabs broken, the blade cannot cut the grass. How nice it was that the part was readily available from Sears !

Original part wore out and raised star sheered off when removing blade to sharpen. Pot in replacement, refit belt and tightened blade. Works great.

Blade Adapter for 12-yr old Craftsman mower

The old blade adapter was down to one tab out of five and I never thought to look for a replacement. I had to use a pry bar to loosen and remove the old adapter. The new adapter was a perfect match with solid construction although the specs said it was not from the OEM. The new blade slipped snuggly into the adapter's tabs.
