New Water Inlet Valve fixed my problem
I had a new icemaker installed but still had the same (no ice) issues. This device installed quickly and relatively easily and we've (finally) been getting ice for several weeks now. That said, the device I was sent may have been a return: it had a inch or two of electrical tape wrapped around it, and what looked like a pen mark a few inches from the end. But, it's working so I'm happy.

Easy to install. Sears contact was very good at diagnosing problem and directing us to correct part to fix it.

Mismatch
Two components of the water valve assembly did not match. One was minor and the other was major. The bracket that holds the water line where it enters the back of the refrigerator was too wide for the holes from the original. The electric connections for the solenoid didn't match at all. Had to cut off connectors and splice the wires. Relatively difficult due to wire size, location and length of wire.

Faulty valve
Don't buy this refrigerator. This is the third water inlet valve replacement in 6 years and this time we received a replacement part from Sears that was faulty and didn't work from the get go.

No longer overfills ice tray
I purchased the water inlet valve because my ice tray was being overfilled with water, so the ice wouldn't drop, and the ice bin turned into a giant ice chunk from water overflowing the ice tray. This part was easy to install and worked great. I used the existing water line on the refrigerator that connects the valve to the ice maker to make installation easier.

Contrary to Sears website, not the correct valve
When looking up my refrigerator model number on the Sears website, two valves which looked identical were shown as direct replacements for the OEM part. This more expensive one of the two included water tubing and electrical harness, and I ordered it. When preparing to remove the old defective valve, I saw that the molded-in electrical harness on this new unit was incompatible with that in my refrigerator, so will have to return this unit to Sears. I have since ordered the other valve showing on Sears' website, and it was a perfect match to my refrigerator's OEM valve. Recommend a careful examination of the valve in your own refrigerator first, and then scrutinizing the photos on the Sears website with this in mind before ordering.
