Rear axle must be removed , oil must be drained, axle case must be split. The differential gear set must be split to have access to the retaining circlips. The citclips are easily replaced. Reassembly is quite simple. Rebolt the differential together, clean housing mating surfaces. Using Permatex 82180 Ultra Black, apply a thin bead and reassemble. Fill with 20W50, Purge air from hydrostatic drive with drive disconnect rod pulled, and MOW, MOW, MOW!! ;-)

Installation is a bit trying

The spiral ring was not as easily installed as I would have thought but after consulting spiral rings on web site was able to accomplish task in about 5 min.
