This light switch (part number WR23X10147) is for refrigerators.
Light switch WR23X10147 turns the light off when you close the door.
Safely store any food that could deteriorate while the power is off and unplug the refrigerator before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.
The old switch is rather hard to remove. The plastic is slick and ones fingers slides off easily. I used a small vise plier to grasp the switch and pull outwards while depressing the locking tab on the side with a small flat screw driver. Be careful when inserting the small screw driver and don't damage the plastic door molding.
