Part works great,circuit design is lacking

I service many of the K500 series Washers and I have one at home as well. This part works great and is easy to install. However, because there is no control circuit (i.e. - an electronic relay or similar), when the washer is over loaded and the motor tries to draw more current, it typically burns out this timer. Granted, this is better than burning out a motor or having the motor draw enough current to actually catch fire, but for multifamily or student housing, it can be hard to control how the residents use the machine. The timer is easy to swap out and always solves this particular issue, but I have had residents that burned up 3 or more timers in a one year lease. Adding a control circuit with a (cheaper?) more easily replaceable relay or even a simple resettable overload would certainly be an improvement.
