Once I received the new switch I opened the switch panel and the original switch which I had assumed was bad, it wasn't, a mounting screw had broke out, so a longer screw, remounted the current switch. Sears parts did send an exact replacement, but since I didn't need the new one, that was easily returned, and return credit issued as soon as the switch was shipped, an easy process thanks to a well thought out web page devoted to the return process !

Easy Install

This switch is very easy to install. 1. Unplug compactor 2. Remove 2 screws from control panel and lift off 3. Remove 2 screws holding old switch 4. Transfer 3 wires from old switch to old switch 5. Replace 2 screws to hold new switch 6. Drop control panel back into place and insert 2 screws 7. Plug compactor Your repair is complete!
