Ice maker 241798224 includes the ice mold and the control device. The ice maker receives water from the water inlet valve and then holds the water in the ice mold until the water freezes solid. It then automatically ejects the ice and refills to continue the process until the ice storage bin is full.

Ice maker replacement
Was a direct fit replacement and fit perfect, didn't even have to turn off the water to replace. One piece of advice, make sure you level it while you're installing it. I think this is why I was getting icebergs in my ice tray, not that the original ice maker was broken. I didn't install the original. Ordering was very easy and delivery was quick.
