Replacing the O-ring in a leaking quick-connect water fitting on your Kenmore Elite reverse osmosis system
- Wash your hands thoroughly before handling the water fitting.
- Shut off the water supply to the reverse osmosis system. Open the faucet and bleed pressure off the water supply line.
- Disconnect the water line from the quick-disconnect fitting.
- Using a small slot screwdriver, remove the collet and O-ring from the quick-disconnect water fitting.
- Clean the port of the disconnect fitting.
- Lubricate and insert the new O-ring into the bottom of the port. Push the collet into the port until it locks in place.
- Reinstall the water line and turn on the water supply going to the reverse osmosis system.

- Inlet water seal. The inlet water seal keeps water from leaking through the water inlet connection on the water treatment equipment.

- Water inlet cut-off valve. The water inlet cut-off valve shuts off the water supply going to the water treatment equipment.
