Replacing the blade in your Milwarkee miter saw

• Use only the recommended replacement blades in your miter saw. Never use a blade that is too thick to allow the outer blade washer to engage with the flats on the spindle. Thicker blades can prevent the blade screw from securing the blade on the spindle, resulting in serious personal injury.
• Wear work gloves to protect your hands when replacing the blade. Unplug the miter saw before replacing the blade.
• Push down on the saw arm and pull out the lock pin to release saw arm. Raise saw arm to its full raised position. Be cautious, saw arm is spring loaded.
• Loosen the screw on the blade bolt cover until the blade bolt cover can be raised. Gently raise the lower blade guard bracket, releasing the lower blade guard from the notch so that the lower blade guard and blade bolt cover can be rotated up and back to expose the blade boll.
• Hold the spindle lock button in and remove the blade bold and washer then remove the blade.
• Install the new blade on the spindle and reassemble the saw.

• Blade. The miter saw blade spins to cut through the work pieces with sharp teeth around the edge of the blade.
• Motor brushes. The motor brushes transfer electricity to the motor armature to turn the motor shaft. As the motor brushes wear out, the drive motor runs weakly or won't start at all.
• Power cord. The power cord supplies the miter saw electrical current from electrical outlet or extension cord.
• Trigger switch. The trigger switch allows you to start and stop the miter saw drive motor when cutting work pieces.
