- Don't allow persons unfamiliar with the power stapler to operate the tool. All users should read the owner's manual before operating the power stapler.
- Follow all safety precautions listed in the owner's manual when using the power stapler.
Safety tips to follow when using bump action on your Makita power stapler
- When using the bump action feature, be careful to avoid unintentional double fires of the power stapler caused by accidentally allowing the contact trip to re-contact the work surface due to recoil.
- To avoid double fires of the power stapler, don't engage the power stapler against the work surface with strong force. Allow the tool to recoil fully after each actuation.
- Always keep the power stapler in control when using the bump actuating mode. Inaccurate placement of the tool can result in misdirected discharge of staples.
- Be aware of material thickness when driving staples. Don't leave protruding staples in the work because protruding staples can cause injury.
- Don't drive staples blindly into walls or other surfaces. Staples driven into live electrical wires or plumbing can result in injury and/or property damage.
