Parts and accessories that you'll need for your Makita drill/driver

• Drill bits. You'll need to replace missing, worn and damaged drill bits that you need to complete projects. You may also need specialty drill bits for projects which require you to drill into concrete or hard metal.
• Carbon motor brushes. Carbon motor brushes transfer electric current to the spinning armature in the motor. You'll need to replace carbon motor brushes when they wear down to ¼-inch in length.
• Trigger switch. The trigger switch starts and stops the power drill motor. Replace the trigger switch if it doesn't send current to the drive motor when you pull the trigger.
• Drive motor. The drive motor spins the chuck and drill bit to drill through the work piece. Replace the drive motor if it doesn't run when it gets electrical current.

Charging the battery pack for your Makita drill/driver

• Plug the battery charger power cord into the electrical wall outlet before inserting the battery pack in the charger for recharging.
• Slide the battery pack into the charger. Make sure that the battery pack is fully inserted in the charger.
• The red charging light will blink continuously, indicating that the charging process has started.
• The red charging light will turn on continuously when the battery pack is fully charged. You can leave the battery pack on the charger even after it's fully charged without harming the battery pack.
