Your Fulgor dishwasher makes a lot of noises during its normal operation, including the sounds of water rushing into the unit, the swishing of the actual washing cycle and the thrumming of the motor. However, certain noises, such as banging or grinding, may indicate a problem with the dishwasher. Clear the chopper blade

Under the lower spray arm and the dishwasher sump, you can find the chopper blade. If a small, hard object, even one as small as a popcorn kernel, falls into this area and becomes stuck, it can create an unpleasant grinding noise. Disassemble the lower section of the dishwasher, and clear out any debris to deal with this problem. Replace any damaged dishwasher parts you discover.

Check the water inlet valve

When you hear a lot of unusually noisy pump sounds, you may be hearing the sound of the pump trying to work without enough water. The water inlet valve is responsible for letting adequate water into the dishwasher. If it fails to open or only opens partway, the dishwasher doesn't receive enough water for proper pump operation. Replacing the water inlet valve is a fairly simple dishwasher repair task.

Replace the wash pump motor

If the entire pump motor goes out, you're likely to hear some very loud and disturbing noises from your dishwasher. Other symptoms of this part failure are decreased spraying and inadequate cleaning. If you need to replace the wash pump motor, consider replacing all the dishwasher seals at the same time.
