How to fix rust spots on a dishwasher dishrack video
This video shows how to repair rust spots on your dishwasher rack as a cheaper alternative to buying a new dishrack.

You can easily fix dishrack rust spots
Getting rid of those unsightly rust spots on the rack in your dishwasher is a pretty easy fix. All you need is a dishwasher rack repair kit, sandpaper or a file to remove the rust, and a couple dishrags.
Remove the dishrack and sand or file off all rust.
Clean the dishrack thoroughly with a wet washcloth and then dry it.
Place the dishrack on a protected surface in a well-ventilated area.
Apply vinyl touch-up paint to all damaged areas. In addition to white, the repair kit also can be ordered in blue or gray.
For rusted tine tips, apply a small amount of vinyl touch-up paint to the tips and slide a plastic cover over each one.
Wipe off excess vinyl paint that squirts out of the bottom of the tine tip using a paper towel.
Let the paint dry for at least 8 hours before putting the dishrack back in the dishwasher.
Run an empty dishwashing cycle with detergent to rinse off any paint residue.
Fixing rust spots on your dishracks helps them last longer and saves the expense of buying new dishracks.
