Door is open
Close the dryer door if open. If the door is closed when the code is displayed, unplug the dryer and reconnect the wire harness on the door switch. Replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire harness is okay, replace the door switch.
Not heating
If the dryer actually doesn't heat, unplug the dryer and replace any defective heating system components. If the dryer does heat, measure the temperature sensor resistance using a volt/ohm meter. If the resistance isn't 10K ohms at 72 degrees F, replace the temperature sensor.
Load is wet at end of cycle
If the dryer doesn't heat, unplug the dryer and replace any defective heating system components. If the dryer heats, clean the lint screen because decreased air flow due to a clogged lint screen prevents the load from drying. Clear the exhaust vent duct system of clogs.
Temperature sensor is defective
Unplug the dryer and measure the temperature sensor resistance using a volt/ohm meter. If the resistance isn't 10K ohms at 72 degrees F, replace the temperature sensor.
