Works Like a Charm
The design is slightly different than my original model (about 20-years old), but I just matched the gaskets like the instructions showed and was able to install the new carb. The mower is running fine now. My install time was longer, because I cleaned the engine off.

Crafstman ZT-7000 carb replacement
Carb was a decent price (on e-bay there were a lot of 'knock-offs' from China that were priced much less, but I wasn't willing to take the chance that they were not up to standard). Shipping was fast. Installation was straight forward. I did need to buy a special tool (E-socket) kit to separate the carb from air intake and intake manifold. Pre-settings on carb were nice and mower started up on first try.
