A service technician should install the door assembly because the door contains shielding components. The technician must correctly test the microwave for leaks in the microwave shield before you can safely use the microwave.
The first part I received had a problem of some sort in its construction, as it would make an audible noise whenever the microwave door was opened. Sears covered the costs of both returning it and shipping a replacement. The replacement works without a hitch.
