Part is 230v and not 120v

Part fits nice, the spring that fails and chews up the plastic has been redesigned so that's a win. The reason for 1 star is same as others, the part is for 230v and not 120volt. The plug doesn't fit. Part supposedly ÒfitÓ my model refrigerator according to look up tool but apparently not. I decided to not hook up the heater

I bought this part to replace the failed flipper on my Samsung RF266AERS North American 115V French Door refrigerator. A google search with that model number led me to the Sears parts direct website. I ordered the part based on suggestions on the website after typing in my model number. To my surprise when the part arrived, it's mullion heater was a 230V version instead of a 115V! I had the option to return the part but everything except the heater seemed to be fine and the flipper was otherwise operational. I decided to leave the heater disconnected and let the new flipper be. I just wish that sears explicitly called out the 230 V heater spec before they sold me the part. To Samsungs discredit the flipper is mostly made out of cheap plastic and I am surprised that my original lasted 8 years before crumbling.

Easy to install BUT...

It was easy to install, BUT the electrical connections in this part didn't exactly match those that existed in the fridge. Not really sure how that gets messed up when you use the correct model number and have the part come from the manufacturer. All this after the part was backordered for months and then eventually canceled by sears and the had to be reordered before we finally got the part. What an ordeal!
