perfect replacement
Easy replacement , saved me a boatload of money and time trying to get a new fridge. No one has the fridge we wanted in stock. Minimum of 6 weeks wait for anything close to what we were looking for. Had new thermostat installed in 30 minutes , old fridge purring like new.

Easy to install
The replacement part that I received was not the same one pictured on the website. The part number on the bag was correct so I went ahead and installed the part. The final step of the install was putting the knobs back on. The control knob on this particular factory certified part seems to be sitting further back than the previous one installed, because there is a gap between the knob and the face plate. Other than that everything seems to be working fine.

Easy to install
It was very easy to install!!! Screw driver is all that was needed!! Had to take the plastic sleeve from the old wire and put on the new one was the most difficult part...also the plug ins were not in the same position as the original but that wasn't a problem either

It's Sears - What do you expect?
The part arrived on time. I was billed the amount I was invoiced. The part wasn't an exact match, and I had to improvise. Fortunately, I guessed correctly. The part appeared to have been pack in a hurry, and it took time to 'un-crimp' the long wire while hoping it wasn't damaged.

Excellent Service
My old 21 year old fridge was failing, and Sears PartsDirect had the components I needed. At a fraction of the cost of using a repair service. On YouTube you'll find loads of fridge repair videos. What impressed me most was how easy they made returns. If you're not exactly sure which part is failing and need to test out a couple of parts, they make the returns simple. I'll be using Sears PartsDirect again.
