Unit wasn't kicking on to cool, but would with a good whack to the thermostat / defrost timer housing. Installed new defrost timer. Unit not fixed. Ordered thermostat.

Upset with Sears because we were told that we could return the parts, if used, to our local service center and thereby not incur any cost for return shipment. But it turned out Sears rep. was wrong and our only option was shipping it back. We incurred a fee for that.
