Works just like the original! Teflon coating on ice heater part started to breakdown and I decided to replace the whole unit. Based on comparing the price of the teflon component and the whole unit. Disconnected the power cable it came with and used the existing one, once I confirmed that the wires are the same. Three 1/4" screws mount the unit.

Replacement ice maker

Real simple installation. This is a "plug and play" installation if it is a replacement. Remember to save the wire bail that flips up and down to turn the ice maker on and off plus the plastic square end cap cover. Replacement maker doesn't come with the wire bail or plastic cap.
