Reviews
Great replacement, not great bolts
The replacement pull rope mechanism is perfect. My model had rivets that needed to be drilled out to remove the old one. However, the replacement bolts they give you are woefully too short to use. I had to go to a hardware store and buy longer ones and devise my own way of fastening them which took a bit of creativity since the area is very small and confined. Once put in, started up in first pull and I hadn't run it in two years. Great pet but perhaps not easy for a someone who hasn't had to work past mechanical ÒhiccupsÓ.

fasteners not included, rivets had to be drilled
Easy install once I tapped mounting holes on snow thrower housing and provided my own 1/4 20 bolts to attach. Bolts and nuts not included as shown when ordering, self tapping bolt would have been proper since original part was rivetted to housing.

Exact match, machine screws too short for snowblow
The starter assembly was a perfect match for the model #247.88999 snow thower. The machine screws provided were too short as there is a plastic trim piece that goes between the assembly and the housing. Plan to substitute longer machine screws.
